McLaughlin, PC is pleased to announce that Derrick Godfrey has joined the firm in its Jackson, Mississippi office. Prior to joining McLaughlin, PC, Derrick practiced law with a large regional law firm.

Derrick has over 8 years of experience advising hospitals, physician practices, and dental practices on mergers and acquisitions, employment and services agreements, co- management arrangements, and joint ventures, as well as navigating the regulatory issues associated with such transactions.

Derrick’s work with healthcare providers also routinely involves advising clients on the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, corporate practice of medicine issues, laws applicable to Mississippi Community Hospitals (including open meetings and public records laws), and other state and federal laws impacting healthcare providers.
